Read Write And Reflect

Dear Aarush and Aayra,

We all heard about the famous 3 R's. Before it is read, write, and arithmetic, the three basic skills one needs to learn in school which came into existence around 200 years back. Now as times are changing we have new 3R's reduce, reuse, and recycle. It is all about the need of an hour. I want to introduce you to my three 3R's of life that is Read, Write, and Reflect. from the past few years, this is what kept me going and helped me to evolve as a better person. In life, there will be many phases some will be good, some will be great but some will not be that good. Sometimes we feel stuck or we feel that we are following a monotonous routine day by day. At that time these 3R's will take you to a new setting. To understand yourself, to sort your thoughts and to evolve too with changing times these 3R's are a total bliss.

Reading is a key that opens doors for you. Sometimes when you end reading a book you feel you are a changed person. It stimulates our imagination. It opens our hearts as well as our minds. In very simple words reading:

  • Gives knowledge
  • Enhances vocabulary
  • Strengthens mind
  • Improves memory
  • Improves focus and concentration
  • Reduces stress
  • Entertains
  • Gives better sleep
  • Enhances imagination
  • Gives wisdom
  • Improves thought process
  • Promotes mental health

Writing is more associated with words that need to be out of your system. Sometimes you can't speak things, sometimes you do not remember things properly, sometimes on bad days when spoken words can ruin your relationships with others writing helps. Writing helps you to record everything you want. In simple ways writing:

  • Gives you a way of expression
  • Gives you an effective way to communicate on different levels
  • Reduces stress
  • Calms the body and nerves
  • Unleashes creativity
  • Helps in reducing depression and anxiety

Reflection here is more related to your thoughts and experiences that you gain from your life first handed or second-handed by living them or learning them. Reflection is very important. It is basically knowing your own self. It is related to mostly emotional intelligence which helps in developing a better understanding. To understand easily reflecting:

  • Gives meaning to your experiences
  • Fosters personal development
  • Help you to understand your strengths and limitations
  • Gives wisdom
  • Makes you see things with a different angle too
  • Increases problem-solving skills
  • Can help to forgive
  • Gives a sense of closure to many open-ended things.
  • Gives satisfaction
  • Gives us a chance to be a better person

Please try my this 3r's rule and see for yourself it will help you in some way or the other. In my opinion, these will be the 3R's which will be needed in our rapidly changing future.

Good Luck!!
